Troubleshoot NCEdCloud Account Claim Issues

NCEdCloud is a website that helps students, teachers and parents access their schools study resources and more. However, users sometimes face errors while claiming a new account because of entering incorrect information, forgotten usernames or passwords, and compatibility issues with different devices. In this article, we are going to teach you how you can fix these issues easily.

Common NCEdCloud Account Claim Issues

Incorrect Information Entered

Check your eScholar UID number which is is a 10-digit that corresponds to the teacher or staff ID in PowerSchool used by state employees. This is available from the Staff UID system and Payroll records for employees. Also, if you’re a student, check your UID number which is the Student or Pupil Number for students. For those who do not know what their UID number is, you should call your local help desk

Browser and Device Issues

If you are claiming an account on NCEdCloud and its showing errors, it could be because you are using an unsupported browser. If this is the case, it is recommended that you download a supported browser (Google Chrome or FireFox) and try claiming an account from there. If you are still facing issues, clear your browser’s cache and cookies.

CAPTCHA and Verification Errors

Many of the students and teachers on NCEdCloud are having issues with the CAPTCHA verification process. Make sure that the CAPTCHA code you are entering in the box is correct by carefully typing it. If the problem continues, try using a different browser or device. Also, you can refresh the page to get a new CAPTCHA Code. This makes sure that you get a fresh CAPTCHA task. It is important to perform the verification process accurately.

Email Verification Problems

Some users may have problems with CAPTCHA verification and email confirmation. For that, try checking the verification email in your spam, or junk folder. Please make sure that the email address you used matches the one registered on NCEdCloud. If the problem remains, try sending the verification email again.

Account Already Claimed or Activation Errors

Account Already Claimed

It can happen that you see an error message that says “Account Already Claimed”, which means that your account is already taken. The way to fix this is either login straight away or try using account recovery options. If this doesn’t work, go to your school’s help-desk and they will help you sort this issue.

Activation Link Not Working

Users also sometimes experience troubles around the activation link. A new activation link can be requested and make sure you use that link within the valid time frame (60 minutes).

Things Your PSU’s / LEA Charter School Technical Support Can Check

If you are experiencing NCEdCloud Account Claiming issues, the system could have incorrect data of you like your date of birth etc. Your PSU (or LEA Charter School) technical support should be able to help with this. These are the things they can check:

Verify Your Date of Birth

If your date of birth in the Rapid Identity UID system is incorrect, you will not be able to login into your NCEdCloud account. The technical support team at your school can confirm your birthdate by checking the IAM Service records.

Update Information in the UID System

Your LEA Charter School Data Coordinator will have to update your record in the UID system and submit any corrections. Ensure all your data is correct and up-to-date.

Syncing Changes with IAM Service

Once the Data Coordinator has updated your information, those changes will appear in IAM Service by end of day on the next business day. This should fix any problems with login due to incorrect data.
